Financial Intermediation rises
Financial Intermediation grew by
8.7 percent in the second quarter of the year. This was slower than the 9.4 percent growth recorded in 2017. The growth of the sector was driven by the growth in Banking Institutions and Non-Bank Financial Intermediation which grew by 9.8 percent and 9.7 percent, respectively. Likewise, Activities Auxiliary to Financial Intermediation expanded by 7.3 percent during the period. Meanwhile, Insurance sustained its 3.7 percent growth.
