CREATION OF TASK FORCE ON GOVERNMENT LABOR STATISTICS

WHEREAS, there is a felt need for timely, reliable and comprehensive data on employment and compensation of local and national government agencies as well as government corporations as vital inputs to the ongoing review of government compensation scheme and for other purposes;

WHEREAS, most agencies which have available reports from where to generate said data, lack the manpower and mechanism to compile the necessary data;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that a Task Force (TF) on Government Labor Statistics be constituted to review existing systems adopted in compiling the data and come up with a systematic approach to the problem. The TF shall be composed of representatives from the Civil Service Commission (CSC), Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), Department of Local Government (DLG), Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and the Department of Finance (DOF) with the National Statistics Office (NSO) as the lead agency.

BE IT RESOLVED FURTHER, that the NSO shall continue to conduct the quarterly surveys on employment and compensation for local and national governments until such time that a system enabling the respective source agencies to come up with the required data has been enforced.
