PROVISION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO STATISTICAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS FOR CY 1989
WHEREAS, the National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB) continues to provide technical and financial assistance to agencies in the implementation of statistical development projects per NSCB Resolution No. 1 (s. 1988);
WHEREAS, the NSCB budget for CY 1989 includes an amount of P3.0 million to cover grants-in-aid for the implementation of new and on-going statistical development projects;
WHEREAS, based on the evaluation of the year-end reports of the 18 projects approved and implemented under the program in 1988, 7 projects have been recommended for continuation while financial assistance to the rest of the projects was terminated;
WHEREAS, out of 70 new project proposals received and screened by the Technical Staff, only 22 new projects have been recommended for funding in CY 1989 in accordance with certain criteria and a prioritization scheme;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Board approve the granting of financial assistance to the following statistical development projects:
