First Quarter 2023 PSGC Updates: Six New Barangays and Correction of the Names of One Municipality and Four Barangays

During the first quarter of 2023, Barangay Datu Dalidigan and Barangay Boganga II, in the City of Marawi, Lanao del Sur, are included in the Philippine Standard Geographic Code (PSGC). The creation of these two barangays, pursuant to City Ordinance Nos. 05-010 and 07-010, Series of 2022, were ratified through twin plebiscites held on 18 March 2023.

Likewise, pursuant to Republic Act (RA) No. 11896 dated 01 July 2022, Barangay Muzon in the City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, was divided into four separate and independent barangays, namely, Barangay Muzon East, Barangay Muzon Proper, Barangay Muzon South, and Barangay Muzon West. The said division of barangay was ratified through a plebiscite conducted on 25 March 2023. The four new barangays are included in the First Quarter 2023 PSGC Updates.

Furthermore, the names of one municipality and four barangays in the PSGC masterlist have been corrected, based on the recommendations of the interagency Technical Working Group on Geographic Code (TWGGC), as follows:
