In Central Visayas, Cebu recorded the highest annual increase in the value of production in agriculture and fisheries at 7.3 percent in 2021. Similarly, improvements were noted in Negros Oriental at 5.0 percent and Bohol at 0.6 percent. Meanwhile, Siquijor recorded a -1.9 percent reduction in the value of production. (Figure 1)

Cebu accounted for the largest contribution to the total value of production in agriculture and fisheries at constant 2018 prices with 50.1 percent. The province also had the highest contribution in livestock, poultry, and fisheries production with 54.7 percent share,72.0 percent share, and 57.9 percent share, respectively. Meanwhile, Negros Oriental had the highest share to crop production at 42.4 percent share.

At current prices, the bulk in the value of production in agriculture and fisheries was recorded in Cebu at PhP 49.09 billion. Negros Oriental came next which amounted to PhP 23.42 billion and Bohol at PhP 20.57 billion. Siquijor had the lowest value of production at PhP 1.83 billion.
