
The value of production in agriculture and fisheries at constant 2018 prices reached PhP 1.73 trillion in 2024. Among the regions, Central Luzon had the largest share at 13.7 percent of the total value of production in agriculture and fisheries. This was followed by Northern Mindanao and Davao Region with shares of 10.3 percent and 7.5 percent, respectively. (Figure 1 and Table 1.3)
In terms of annual growth in the value of production in agriculture and fisheries at constant 2018 prices, Central Visayas recorded the highest growth among the regions at 5.2 percent. This was followed by Eastern Visayas and SOCCSKSARGEN, which grew by 3.9 percent and 1.91 percent, respectively.
Meanwhile, Negros Island Region had the largest decrease in the value of production in agriculture and fisheries at 11.5 percent. Declines were also posted in Western Visayas at 9.5 percent and MIMAROPA Region at 6.6 percent. (Table 1.1)
In 2024, the top three regions with the largest shares to the total value of crop production were Northern Mindanao with 12.1 percent share, Cagayan Valley with 10.7 percent share, and Central Luzon with 9.7 percent share. For the year-on-year growth, only Caraga and Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) posted positive growths with 3.9 percent and 2.4 percent, respectively. (Tables 1.1 and 1.3)
For the value of livestock production, the leading regions were CALABARZON with 13.8 percent share, Central Luzon with 11.9 percent share, and Northern Mindanao with 11.7 percent share. The biggest increment in the value of livestock production was posted in Central Luzon at 10.8 percent. Eastern Visayas and SOCCSKSARGEN followed at 8.5 percent and 6.6 percent, respectively. The value of poultry production at constant 2018 prices of Central Luzon accounted for the biggest share with 26.0 percent. CALABARZON was second with 19.5 percent share, and Northern Mindanao at third with 9.2 percent share. In terms of annual growth, double-digit increases in the value of poultry production were registered in the National Capital Region at 28.3 percent, MIMAROPA Region at 24.5 percent, Central Visayas at 24.1 percent, and Eastern Visayas at 23.7 percent. (Tables 1.1 and 1.3)
At constant 2018 prices, the top three regions with the highest share to the value of fisheries production were Central Luzon with 17.4 percent share, SOCCSKSARGEN with 10.4 percent share, and Western Visayas with 8.8 percent share. Notable annual growth rates were recorded in Central Visayas at 44.5 percent, SOCCSKSARGEN at 18.3 percent, and CAR at 16.4 percent. (Tables 1.1 and 1.3)
