All provinces and Highly Urbanized City (HUC) in Davao Region posted economic growths in 2023 from their levels in 2022. City of Davao recorded the fastest growth at 7.5 percent. This was followed by Davao del Sur and Davao de Oro with growths of 6.5 percent and 6.1 percent, respectively. Moreover, only City of Davao recorded a faster growth than the regional economic growth of 6.7 percent. (Figure 1)

Among the five provinces and one HUC in Davao Region, City of Davao contributed 52.3 percent of the PhP 1.02 trillion value of Davao Region’s GDP in 2023. Davao del Norte and Davao del Sur followed, with shares of 17.6 percent and 10.8 percent, respectively. (Figure 2)
