Annual increment of CMRPI in NCR decelerates in July 2020

The CMRPI in NCR posted an annual growth of 1.1 percent in July 2020. This was slower than the 1.2 percent annual increment posted in June 2020 and July 2019. (Table A and Table 2)

The annual growth rates decelerated in the indices of the following commodity groups:

• Carpentry materials, 0.8 percent;
• Painting materials and related compounds, 1.5 percent; and
• Tinsmithry materials, 1.2 percent.

Meanwhile, the indices of electrical materials and miscellaneous construction materials exhibited higher annual mark-ups at 1.0 percent and 1.1 percent, respectively. The rest of the commodity groups retained their previous month’s annual growth rates. (Table 2)
