Annual rate of CMRPI remained steady at 1.1 percent in November 2023

The annual rate of CMRPI in NCR was recorded at 1.1 percent for the third consecutive month in November 2023. In November 2022, its annual increment was recorded at 6.2 percent. (Figure 1, and Tables A, 2, and 4)

Higher annual markup was observed in the index of tinsmithry materials at 3.1 percent in November 2023 from 2.8 percent in the previous month.

On the other hand, relative to their October 2023 annual rates, slower annual increases were noted in the indices of the following commodity groups in November 2023:

a. Carpentry materials, 0.6 percent from 0.7 percent;    
b. Electrical materials, 0.7 percent from 0.8 percent;     
c. Masonry materials, 0.9 percent from 1.1 percent; and 
d. Painting materials and related compounds, 2.4 percent from 2.5 percent.

Meanwhile, the indices of plumbing materials and miscellaneous construction materials retained their previous month’s annual increase of 0.3 percent and annual decrease of 1.2 percent, respectively. (Table 2)
