Annual rate of CMRPI in NCR picked up at faster pace in October 2021

The CMRPI in NCR continued its upward trend as its annual rate increased further to 2.1 percent in October 2021, from 2.0 percent in September 2021. Its annual change in October 2020 was recorded at 1.4 percent. (Tables A and 2)

Relative to their annual growth rates in September 2021, annual increments in October 2021 were higher in the indices of plumbing materials at 1.8 percent; tinsmithry materials, 3.6 percent; and miscellaneous construction materials, 2.8 percent. (Table 2)

On the other hand, annual hikes slowed down in the indices of carpentry materials and masonry materials at 1.3 percent; and painting materials and related compounds, 1.4 percent.

The index of electrical materials retained its previous month’s annual growth rate of 1.3 percent. (Table 2)
