Average farmgate price of duck egg in commercial farms (PhP 6.40 per piece) went down by 6.75 percent compared with the January to March 2017 average price of PhP 6.86 per piece.

Inventory

As of January 1, 2018, the total inventory of duck laying flock was slightly higher by 0.53 percent compared to the previous year’s count of 5.64 million heads.

The population of laying flock in backyard farms increased by 3.80 percent while stocks in commercial farms decreased by 3.50 percent.
