This report presents the final monthly statistics on exports, imports and the resulting balance of trade in goods (BOT-G) for the Philippines for the year 2013.
Final export and import figures include documents that were received by the Philippine Statistics Authority – Sta. Mesa after the cut-off dates. Table 1 shows a comparison of the preliminary and final series of exports for 2013 by month and Table 2, the preliminary and final series of imports by month for 2013. The resulting preliminary and final series of the BOT-G is shown in Table 3.
As shown in Table 1, the final export figure was recorded at US$56,698 million from US$53,978 million for the period January to December 2013. For the same period, the final value of total imports was US$62,411 million, an increase of US$579 million from US$61,831 million (Table 2). The resulting trade balance in goods (BOT-G) amounted to a deficit of US$5,713 million from the preliminary series of US$7,853 million deficit (Table 3).
