This report presents the final monthly statistics on exports, imports and the resulting balance of trade in goods (BOT-G) for the Philippines for the year 2014.
Final export and import figures are based on documents that were received by the Philippine Statistics Authority – Sta. Mesa after the cut-off dates. Table 1 shows a comparison of the preliminary and final series of exports for 2014 by month and Table 2, the preliminary and final series of imports by month for 2014. The resulting preliminary and final series of the BOT-G is shown in Table 3.
As shown in Table 1, the final export figure was recorded at US$ 62,102 million from US$ 61,810 million for the period January to December 2014. For the same period, the final value of total imports was US$ 65,398 million, an increase of US$ 874 million from US$ 64,524 million (Table 2). The resulting trade balance in goods (BOT-G) amounted to a deficit of US$ 3,296 million from the preliminary series of US$ 2,714 million deficit (Table 3).
