As shown in Table 1, the final export figure for the period January to December 2017 was registered at US$68,712 million from US$63,233 million preliminary estimates. For the same period, the final value of total imports was US$96,093 million, an increase of US$3,252 million from US$92,841. The resulting balance of trade in goods (BOT-G) amounted to a deficit of US$27,381 million from the preliminary series of US$29,608 million deficit.

 

Figure 1 to 1c graphically displays the monthly figures.

 

 

Technical Notes:

Final export and import figures are based on inclusions of late entries, i.e. documents received beyond 25th days after the reference month and out of date records from electronic files received from the Bureau of Customs.

The Special Release of foreign trade statistics by commodity and country level will be made available to the public on 29 June 2018 and will be posted in the PSA website.

Detailed statistical tables at 10-digit 2004 PSCC will be made available by 31 May 2018 upon requests at PSA – Economic Sector Statistics Service, Trade Statistics Division (TSD) (TSD_staff@psa.gov.ph).
