During the fourth quarter of 2022, the conversion of the Municipality of Baliuag in the province of Bulacan into City of Baliwag by the virtue of Republic Act No. 11929 was ratified through a plebiscite conducted on 17 December 2022.

Moreover, the merging of 28 barangays into three barangays and renaming of a barangay in Ormoc City, pursuant to Sangguniang Panlungsod Ordinance No. 052 Series of 2021, were ratified through plebiscites conducted simultaneously on 08 October 2022. The details of the updates are as follows:
