GRPI in NCR slows down in July 2020
The GRPI in NCR moved up at a slower annual pace of 1.2 percent in July 2020. In the previous month, its annual rate was recorded at 1.3 percent and in July 2019 at 0.8 percent. (Table A and Table 2)
The annual rate of mineral fuels, lubricants and related materials index declined further by 9.3 percent in July 2020. Moreover, annual increases were lower in the indices of crude materials, inedible except fuels at 1.9 percent; and chemicals including animal and vegetable oils and fats, 0.2 percent.
On the other hand, a higher annual mark-up of 4.1 percent was posted in the index of beverages and tobacco during the month. The same previous month’s annual rates were seen in the indices of food at 2.6 percent; manufactured goods classified chiefly by materials, 1.4 percent; and miscellaneous manufactured articles, 0.9 percent. Meanwhile, a zero annual growth was registered in the index of machinery and transport equipment. (Table 2)
