1. The average retail prices of a kilogram of special rice inched up, ranging from PhP 0.12 to PhP 1.50, in six trading centers during the first phase of August 2022 (01 to 05 August 2022) compared with their price levels in the second phase of July 2022 (15 to 17 July 2022). Its average retail price per kilogram, however, went down by PhP 0.30 in Butuan City, by PhP 0.98 in Iloilo City, and by PhP 1.08 in Legazpi City during the period. (Table 1)
2. Six trading centers posted increases of PhP 2.50 to PhP 27.00 in the average retail prices of a kilogram of dressed chicken during the first phase of August 2022. On the other hand, its average retail price per kilogram dropped by PhP 2.50 in Iloilo City, by PhP 7.59 in the National Capital Region (NCR), by PhP 10.00 in Batangas City, by PhP 12.50 in Cabanatuan City, and by PhP 20.00 in San Fernando City during the period. 3. The average price of a kilogram of galunggong moved down by PhP 2.50 to PhP 40.00 in eight trading centers during the first phase of August 2022. Meanwhile, its average retail price per kilogram rose by PhP 5.00 in Cabanatuan City, by PhP 10.00 in Digos City, and by PhP 35.00 in Batangas City. (Table 3)
4. Price increments in the average retail prices of vegetables were registered in many trading centers during the first phase of August 2022. (Table 4)
5. 5A kilogram of red onion retailed higher by PhP 12.00 to PhP 45.00 in 10 trading centers during the first phase of August 2022. However, its average retail price per kilogram decreased by PhP 10.00 in Cabanatuan City, and by PhP 12.50 in Butuan City during the period. (Table 5)
6. The average retail prices of a kilogram of carabao mango increased, ranging from PhP 9.04 to PhP 65.00, in nine trading centers during the first phase of August 2022, compared with their respective price levels in the second phase of July 2022. Meanwhile, its average retail price fell by PhP 4.50 in Digos City and by PhP 5.00 in Cabanatuan City. (Table 6)
7. 7Relative to their price levels in the second phase of July 2022, the average price of a kilogram of brown sugar went up by PhP 1.00 to PhP 15.77 in 10 trading centers during the first phase of August 2022. (Table 7)
