  1. The average retail prices of a kilogram of well milled rice rose by PhP 0.03 to PhP 0.50 in five trading centers during the first phase of December 2022 (01 to 05 December 2022) relative to their price levels in the second phase of November 2022 (15 to 17 November 2022). On the other hand, its average retail price per kilogram were lower by PhP 0.38 in Iloilo City, by PhP 1.50 in Butuan City, and by PhP 3.03 in Calapan City during the period. (Table 1)
  2. Five trading centers reported increases in the average retail prices of a kilogram of lean meat pork by PhP 0.42 to PhP 50.00 during the first phase of December 2022. Meanwhile, its average retail price per kilogram went down by PhP 5.50 in Calapan City, by PhP 10.00 in Cebu City, by PhP 17.50 in Digos City, and by PhP 24.50 in Legazpi City during the first phase of December 2022. (Table 2)
  3. The average retail prices of a kilogram of bangus inched up by PhP 1.19 to PhP 20.00 in six trading centers during the first phase of December 2022. Its average retail price per kilogram, however, dropped by PhP 5.00 in Kidapawan City and by PhP 10.00 in both Legazpi City and Pagadian City during the period. (Table 3)
  4. Many trading centers noted declines in the retail prices of vegetables during the first phase of December 2022. (Table 4)
  5. Increments in the retail prices of a kilogram of red onion, ranging from PhP 6.00 to PhP 115.00, were seen in 11 trading centers during the first phase of December 2022. On the other hand, its average retail price decreased by PhP 30.00 in Cabanatuan City and by PhP 35.00 in Digos City during the period. (Table 5)
  6. Price changes in the average retail price of a kilogram of mango carabao differed in nine trading centers during the first phase of December 2022. (Table 6)
  7. The average retail prices of brown sugar fell, ranging from PhP 1.38 to PhP 4.25, in five trading centers during the first phase of December 2022 compared with their price levels in the second phase of November 2022. However, its average retail prices per kilogram were higher by PhP 0.07 in the National Capital Region (NCR), by PhP 0.87 in Baguio City, by PhP 4.00 in Cabanatuan City, and by PhP 6.00 in Batangas City during the period.
