  1. Increases in the average retail prices of a kilogram of well milled rice, ranging from PhP 0.20 to PhP 3.10, were noted in six regional centers during the first phase of July 2021 (01 to 05 July 2021), from their price levels in the second phase of June 2021 (15 to 17 June 2021). Meanwhile, relative to their price levels in the second phase of the previous month, the average retail price per kilogram of well milled rice was lower by PhP 0.04 and PhP 0.38 in three regional centers during the period. (Table 1)

Compared with their price levels in the second phase of June 2021, the average retail prices of a kilogram of pork with bones were higher by PhP 2.50 to PhP 20.00 in six regional centers during the first phase of July 2021. However, its average retail price per kilogram dropped by PhP 0.22 and PhP 5.00 in four regional centers during the first phase of July 2021. (Table 2)
  3. Declines in the average retail prices of a kilogram of bangus between the first phase of July 2021 and the second phase of June 2021, ranging from PhP 2.67 to PhP 38.00, were observed in seven regional centers. On the other hand, its average retail price per kilogram rose from PhP 5.00 to PhP 20.00 in six regional centers during the period. (Table 3)
  4. Higher prices of vegetables, particularly tomato and white potato, were noted in many regional centers during the first phase of July 2021. (Table 4)
  5. Decreases in the average retail prices of a kilogram of red onion, ranging from PhP 5.00 to PhP 40.00, were seen in four regional centers during the period, from their price levels in the second phase of June 2021. On the contrary, relative to their price levels in the second phase of June 2021, the average retail price per kilogram of red onion went up by PhP 3.11 to PhP 20.00 in seven regional centers in the first phase of July 2021.   6. A kilogram of calamansi registered price cuts, ranging from PhP 7.50 to PhP 20.00, in five regional centers during the first phase of July 2021, from their price levels in the second phase of June 2021. However, its average retail price per kilogram picked up by PhP 15.00 in Tuguegarao City, and by PhP 17.50 in Baguio City and Iloilo City during the period. (Table 6)
  7. The average retail prices of a kilogram of brown sugar inched up by PhP 0.05 to PhP 2.50 in four regional centers during the first phase of July 2021. Meanwhile, its average retail price went down by PhP 0.50 in Pagadian City. (Table 7)
