1. Increases in the average retail prices of a kilogram of special rice, ranging from PhP 0.40 to PhP 5.25, were observed in six trading centers during the first phase of June 2022 (01 to 05 June 2022), relative to their price levels in the second phase of May 2022 (15 to 17 May 2022). Meanwhile, its average retail price per kilogram dropped by PhP 0.13 in Iloilo City, by PhP 0.96 in Legazpi City, by PhP 1.00 in Digos City, and by PhP 2.00 in Tacloban City during the period. (Table 1) 2. The average retail prices of a kilogram of pork with bones climbed by PhP 5.00 to PhP 10.00 in five trading centers during the first phase of June 2022. Its average retail price per kilogram, however, went down by PhP 2.50 in Digos City, by PhP 5.00 in Cebu City, by PhP 10.00 in Cagayan de Oro City, and by PhP 15.00 in Cabanatuan City during the first phase of June 2022. (Table 2) 3. Declines in the average retail prices of a kilogram of galunggong, ranging from PhP 2.59 to PhP 25.00, were noted in seven trading centers during the first phase of June 2022. On the other hand, its average retail prices per kilogram were higher by PhP 7.50 in Legazpi City, by PhP 10.00 in both Calapan City and Butuan City, and by PhP 25.00 in Cabanatuan City during the period. (Table 3) 4. At the retail trade, prices of vegetables scaled up in many trading centers during the first phase of June 2022. (Table 4) 5. Increments in the average retail prices of a kilogram of red onion between the first phase of June 2022 and the second phase of May 2022 ranged from PhP 5.00 to PhP 39.50 in five trading centers. However, its average retail price per kilogram moved down by PhP 10.00 in Pagadian City, by PhP 15.00 in both Calapan City and Kidapawan City, and by PhP 27.50 in Tacloban City during the first phase of June 2022. (Table 5). 6. Higher prices of a kilogram of carabao mango, ranging from PhP 2.50 to PhP 40.00, were registered in 10 trading centers during the first phase of June 2022, compared with their respective price levels in the second phase of May 2022. Meanwhile, its average retail price per kilogram was lower by PhP 15.00 in Cabanatuan City during the period. (Table 6) 7. Prices of a kilogram of refined and brown sugar increased in nine trading centers during the first phase of June 2022. (Table 7) DENNIS S.
