1. The average retail prices of a kilogram of regular milled rice increased by PhP 0.07 to PhP 1.00 in eight trading centers during the first phase of June 2023 (01 to 05 June 2023) relative to their price levels in the second phase of May 2023 (15 to 17 May 2023). Meanwhile, its average retail prices per kilogram went down by PhP 0.20 in Butuan City and by PhP 0.80 in Cotabato City during the period. (Table 1)

2. Decrements in the average retail prices of a kilogram of dressed chicken, ranging from PhP 2.50 to PhP 20.00, were observed in six trading centers during the first phase of June 2023. On the contrary, its average retail prices per kilogram increased by PhP 0.52 in the National Capital Region (NCR), by PhP 2.50 in both Cabanatuan City and Digos City, and by PhP 10.00 in Tuguegarao City during the period. 3. Seven trading centers posted increases in the average retail prices of a kilogram of bangus, ranging from PhP 0.50 to PhP 25.00, during the first phase of June 2023. Meanwhile, its average retail prices per kilogram dropped by PhP 0.89 in NCR, by PhP 10.00 in San Fernando City (Region 1), by PhP 25.00 in Cebu City, and by PhP 30.00 in Legazpi City during the period. 4. Varied movements were reported in the average retail prices of a kilogram of vegetables in many trading centers during the first phase of June 2023. (Table 4)

5. Increments in the average retail prices of a kilogram of native garlic, ranging from PhP 10.00 to PhP 30.00, were noted in nine trading centers during the first phase of June 2023. On the other hand, its average retail prices per kilogram fell by PhP 6.50 in Cagayan de Oro City and by PhP 10.44 in NCR during the period. (Table 5)

6. The average retail prices of a kilogram of banana lakatan decelerated by PhP 2.08 to PhP 15.00 in six trading centers during the first phase of June 2023. However, its average retail prices per kilogram rose by PhP 3.50 in Tuguegarao City, by PhP 6.50 in Digos City, and by PhP 17.50 in Calapan City during the period. (Table 6)

7. Higher average retail prices of a kilogram of brown sugar, ranging from PhP 0.25 to PhP 6.13, were registered in six trading centers during the first phase of June 2023. Meanwhile, its average retail prices per kilogram were lower by PhP 0.30 to PhP 2.26 in five trading centers during the period. (Table 7)
