1. Rice, Special

   

   At the national level, a kilogram of special rice had an average retail price of PhP 61.40 during the first phase of November 2023 (01 to 05 November 2023). Compared with its average retail price of PhP 60.52 per kilogram in the second phase of October 2023 (15 to 17 October 2023), it increased by 1.5 percent. Likewise, an increment of 1.5 percent was observed in the average retail price per kilogram of special rice during the first phase of November 2023 from its average retail price of PhP 60.47 per kilogram in the first phase of October 2023 (01 to 05 October 2023).    Among regions, Region VII (Central Visayas) reported the highest average retail price of special rice at PhP 70.83 per kilogram, while the lowest average retail price was registered in Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) at PhP 55.12 per kilogram during the first phase of November 2023. (Table 1)

    

2. Beef, Pure Meat

   

   A kilogram of beef pure meat had an average retail price of PhP 417.61 during the first phase of November 2023. This shows an increase of 1.3 percent from its average retail price of PhP 412.33 per kilogram in the second phase of October 2023. Similarly, the average retail price per kilogram of beef pure meat went up by 1.2 percent during the first phase of November 2023 relative to its average retail price of PhP 412.51 per kilogram in the first phase of October 2023.    By region, the highest average retail price of a kilogram of beef pure meat at PhP 461.61 was observed in Region III (Central Luzon), while the lowest average retail price was registered in Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) at PhP 350.00 per kilogram during the first phase of November 2023. (Table 2)

3. Galunggong

   

   A kilogram of galunggong in the country had an average retail price of PhP 207.94 during the first phase of November 2023. Compared with its average retail price of PhP 201.58 per kilogram in the second phase of October 2023, it increased by 3.2 percent during the period. Likewise, the average retail price per kilogram of galunggong climbed by 2.1 percent during the first phase of November 2023 from its price level of PhP 203.67 per kilogram in the first phase of October 2023.    By region, the highest average retail price of a kilogram of galunggong was posted in National Capital Region (NCR) at PhP 262.27 during the first phase of November 2023, while the lowest average retail price was reported in BARMM at PhP 130.83 per kilogram. (Table 3)

4. Carrot

   

   A kilogram of carrot had an average retail price of PhP 153.47 at the national level during the first phase of November 2023. It increased by 7.3 percent relative to the average retail price of PhP 143.07 per kilogram in the second phase of October 2023. Moreover, the average retail price per kilogram of carrot accelerated by 10.9 percent during the first phase of November 2023 from its price level of PhP 138.42 per kilogram in the first phase of October 2023.    At the regional level, the highest average retail price of a kilogram of carrot was registered in Region VI (Western Visayas) at PhP 207.81 during the first phase of November 2023, while the lowest average retail price was recorded in CAR at PhP 109.08 per kilogram. (Table 4)

5. Onion, Red

   

   An average retail price of PhP 180.50 per kilogram at the national level was reported in red onion during the first phase of November 2023. This indicates a decline of 2.7 percent from the average retail price of PhP 185.55 per kilogram in the second phase of October 2023. Similarly, a decrement of 5.1 percent was noted in the average retail price per kilogram of red onion during the first phase of November 2023 from its average retail price of PhP 190.16 per kilogram in the first phase of October 2023.    Among regions, Region VIII (Eastern Visayas) had the highest average retail price of red onion at PhP 235.33 per kilogram during the first phase of November 2023. On the other hand, NCR recorded the lowest average retail price of red onion at PhP 141.16 per kilogram. (Table 5)

6. Calamansi

   

   At the national level, a kilogram of calamansi had an average retail price of PhP 80.77 during the first phase of November 2023. This indicates an increase of 8.6 percent from its average retail price of PhP 74.37 per kilogram in the second phase of October 2023. Similarly, an increment of 8.7 percent was recorded in the average retail price per kilogram of calamansi in the first phase of November 2023 from its average retail price of PhP 74.31 per kilogram during the first phase of October 2023.    By region, MIMAROPA Region registered the highest average retail price of a kilogram of calamansi at PhP 103.00, while the lowest average retail price was reported in Region XII (SOCCSKSARGEN) at PhP 53.28 per kilogram during the first phase of November 2023. (Table 6)

7. Refined Sugar

   

   At the national level, a kilogram of refined sugar had an average retail price of PhP 91.95 during the first phase of November 2023. This was 1.8 percent lower than the average retail price of PhP 93.64 per kilogram in the second phase of October 2023. Moreover, a decline of 2.0 percent was observed in the average retail price per kilogram of refined sugar in the first phase of November 2023 relative to its average retail price of PhP 93.84 per kilogram during the first phase of October 2023.    At the regional level, the highest average retail price of a kilogram of refined sugar was noted in Region VIII (Eastern Visayas) at PhP 105.75 during the first phase of November 2023, while the lowest average retail price was observed in BARMM at PhP 82.75 per kilogram. (Table 7)
