Increments in the average retail prices of a kilogram of well milled rice, ranging from PhP 1.00 to PhP 5.96, were seen in five trading centers during the first phase of September 2022 (01 to 05 September 2022) relative to their price levels in the second phase of August 2022 (15 to 17 August 2022). On the other hand, its average retail price per kilogram were lower by PhP 0.03 in Legazpi City, by PhP 0.06 in the National Capital Region (NCR), by PhP 0.57 in Kidapawan City, by PhP 1.00 in Tacloban City, and by PhP 2.55 in Batangas City during the period. (Table 1) The average retail prices of a kilogram of dressed chicken inched up by PhP 2.50 to PhP 30.00 in seven trading centers during the first phase of September 2022. Meanwhile, its average retail price per kilogram declined by PhP 0.85 in NCR, by PhP 2.50 in both Iloilo City and Tacloban City, and by PhP 15.00 in Calapan City during the first phase of September 2022. (Table 2) The average retail prices of a kilogram of galunggong climbed by PhP 3.85 to PhP 70.00 in five trading centers during the first phase of September 2022. However, its average retail price per kilogram dropped by PhP 5.00 in Digos City, by PhP 9.00 in Batangas City, by PhP 10.00 in Kidapawan City, by PhP 15.00 in Iloilo City, and by PhP 40.00 in Tacloban City. (Table 3) Many trading centers recorded price hikes in the average retail prices of vegetables during the first phase of September 2022. (Table 4) The average retail prices of a kilogram of red onion increased by PhP 5.41 to PhP 60.00 in six trading centers during the first phase of September 2022. On the other hand, its average retail price per kilogram fell by PhP 0.50 in Digos City, by PhP 3.50 in Legazpi City, and by PhP 10.00 in both Cabanatuan City and Tacloban City during the period. (Table 5) The average retail prices of a kilogram of carabao mango were higher, ranging from PhP 2.03 to PhP 30.00, in five trading centers during the first phase of September 2022, compared with their respective price levels in the second phase of August 2022. Its average retail price, however, eased down by PhP 2.00 in Digos City, by PhP 5.00 in Butuan City, by PhP 15.00 in Cabanatuan City, by PhP 25.50 in Batangas City, and by PhP 30.00 in Baguio City. (Table 6) Compared with their price levels in the second phase of August 2022, the average price of a kilogram of refined sugar scaled up by PhP 0.25 to PhP 26.50 in seven trading centers during the first phase of September 2022. Meanwhile, its average retail price decreased by PhP 1.00 in Cebu City, by PhP 1.50 in both Baguio City and Cabanatuan City, by PhP 3.42 in Butuan City, and by PhP 4.00 in Legazpi City during the period.
