1. The average retail prices of a kilogram of regular milled rice dropped by PhP 0.02 to PhP 2.50 in six regional centers during the second phase of April 2021 (15 to 17 April 2021), from their price levels in the first phase of the month (01 to 05 April 2021). Meanwhile, its average retail price per kilogram inched up by PhP 0.10 in Baguio City; PhP 0.50 in Cagayan de Oro City; and PhP 1.00 in Digos City during the period. (Table 1) 2. A kilogram of pork with bones were priced higher in six regional centers during the second phase of April 2021, ranging from PhP 4.67 to PhP 40.00, relative to their price levels in the first phase of the month. On the contrary, its average retail prices decreased in four regional centers during the period. (Table 2) 3. Price cuts in the average retail prices of a kilogram of galunggong, ranging from PhP 7.56 to PhP 60.00, were observed in six regional centers during the second phase of April 2021. On the other hand, compared with the first phase of April 2021, the price of a kilogram of galunggong rose by PhP 5.00 in Pagadian City; PhP 10.00 in San Fernando City (Region 1); and PhP 22.50 in Cotabato City during the second phase of April. (Table 3) 4. Many regional centers exhibited lower retail prices of vegetables during the second phase of April 2021, compared with their price levels in the first phase of the month. (Table 4) 5. Increments in the average retail prices of garlic (native), ranging from PhP 5.00 to PhP 75.00 per kilogram, were noted in five regional centers during the second phase of April 2021. However, its average retail price per kilogram declined by PhP 15.00 in Calapan City during the period. (Table 5) 6. Varied changes in the average retail prices of a kilogram of carabao mango, ranging from PhP 2.44 to Php 40.00, were registered in eight regional centers during the period. (Table 6) 7. The average retail prices of a kilogram of brown sugar increased by PhP 0.02 to PhP 0.63 in four regional centers during the period. Relative to their price levels in the first phase of April 2021, its average retail price per kilogram was, however, lower by PhP 0.25 in Batangas City, PhP 0.50 in Tuguegarao City, and PhP 3.50 in Legazpi City.
