1. Price increases in a kilogram of well milled rice, ranging from PhP 0.20 to PhP 1.00, were seen in four trading centers during the second phase of December 2022 (15 to 17 December 2022), compared with their price levels in the first phase of December 2022 (01 to 05 December 2022). However, its average retail price per kilogram dropped by PhP 0.09 in the National Capital Region (NCR) and by PhP 0.75 in Iloilo City during the period. (Table 1)

2. Five trading centers posted higher average retail prices of a kilogram of dressed chicken, ranging from PhP 4.69 to PhP 20.00, during the second phase of December 2022. On the other hand, its average retail price per kilogram were lower by PhP 1.50 in Digos City, by PhP 12.50 in Tacloban City, and by PhP 15.00 in Cebu City during the period. (Table 2)

3. The average retail prices of a kilogram of bangus inched up by PhP 3.29 to PhP 20.00 in seven trading centers during the second phase of             December 2022. Meanwhile, its average retail price per kilogram dropped by PhP 5.00 in San Fernando City (Region 1) and by PhP 10.00 in Pagadian City during the period. (Table 3)

4. Many trading centers reported price increases in the average retail prices of vegetables during the second phase of December 2022.  (Table 4)

5. Increments in the average price of a kilogram of red onion, ranging from PhP 4.00 to PhP 137.50, were registered in 12 trading centers during the second phase of December 2022. (Table 5)

6. The average retail prices of a kilogram of carabao mango went up by PhP 1.14 to PhP 28.50 in six trading centers during the second phase of December 2022. On the other hand, its average retail price per kilogram went down by PhP 5.00 in Legazpi City and by PhP 20.00 in Cabanatuan City during the second phase of December 2022. (Table 6)

7. The average retail prices of a kilogram of brown sugar declined by PhP 0.05 to PhP 11.50 in five trading centers during the second phase of December 2022. Meanwhile, its average retail price per kilogram rose by PhP 5.00 in Cagayan de Oro City during the period. (Table 7)
