1. Rice, Well Milled

   At the national level, a kilogram of well milled rice had an average retail price of PhP 51.77 during the second phase of September 2023 (15 to 17 September 2023). Compared with its average  retail price of PhP 53.19 per kilogram in the first phase of September 2023 (01 to 05 September 2023), it went down by 2.7 percent. However, an increment of 2.1 percent was observed in the average retail price per kilogram of well milled rice during the second phase of September 2023 relative to its average retail price of PhP 50.69 per kilogram in the second phase of August 2023 (15 to 17 August 2023).    Among regions, Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) reported the highest average retail price of well milled rice at PhP 57.03 per kilogram, while the lowest average retail price was registered in Region XII (SOCCSKSARGEN) at PhP 47.39 per kilogram during the second phase of September 2023. 2. Pork, Meat with Bones

   

   A kilogram of pork meat with bones had an average retail price of PhP 289.80 during the second phase of September 2023. This shows an increase of 0.1 percent from its average retail price of PhP 289.59 per kilogram in the first phase of September 2023. Similarly, the average retail price per kilogram of pork meat with bones went up by 0.1 percent during the second phase of September 2023 from its average retail price of PhP 289.51 per kilogram in the second phase of August 2023.    By region, the highest average retail price of a kilogram of pork meat with bones at PhP 307.67 was observed in Region XIII (Caraga), while the lowest average retail price was registered in Region VII (Central Visayas) at PhP 238.89 per kilogram during the second phase of September 2023. (Table 2)

3.  Galunggong

   

   At the national level, a kilogram of galunggong had an average retail price of PhP 198.02 during the second phase of September 2023. Compared with its average retail price of PhP 208.41 per kilogram in the first phase of September 2023, it declined by 5.0 percent during the period. Likewise, the average retail price per kilogram of galunggong dropped by 2.4 percent during the second phase of September_2023 from its price level of PhP 202.89 per kilogram in the second phase of August 2023.    By region, the highest average retail price of a kilogram of galunggong was posted in the National Capital Region (NCR) at PhP 260.52 during the second phase of September 2023, while the lowest average retail price was reported in Region IX (Zamboanga Peninsula) at PhP 136.33 per kilogram. (Table 3)

4. Baguio Beans

   

   A kilogram of baguio beans had an average retail price of PhP 141.25 at the national level during the second phase of September 2023. It decreased by 13.0 percent relative to the average retail price of PhP 162.37 per kilogram in the first phase of September 2023. Moreover, the average retail price per kilogram of baguio beans decelerated by 2.5 percent during the second phase of September 2023 from its price level of PhP 144.83 per kilogram in the second phase of August 2023.    At the regional level, the highest average retail price of a kilogram of baguio beans was registered in MIMAROPA Region at PhP 188.08 during the second phase of September 2023, while the lowest average retail price was recorded in Region X (Northern Mindanao) at PhP 76.00 per kilogram. (Table 4)

5. Garlic, Native

   

   At the national level, native garlic had an average retail price of PhP 168.66 per kilogram during the second phase of September 2023. This indicates an increase of 0.1 percent from the average retail price of PhP 168.46 per kilogram in the first phase of September 2023. Similarly, an increase of 1.8 percent was noted in the average retail price per kilogram of garlic native during the second phase of September 2023 from its average retail price of PhP 165.68 per kilogram in the second phase of August 2023.    Among regions, NCR had the highest average retail price of native garlic at PhP 304.96 per kilogram during the second phase of September 2023. On the other hand, Region XII (SOCCSKSARGEN) recorded the lowest average retail price of native garlic at PhP 135.50 per kilogram. (Table 5)

6. Banana, Latundan

   

   At the national level, a kilogram of banana latundan had an average retail price of PhP 49.14 during the second phase of September 2023. This indicates an increase of 1.2 percent from its average retail price of PhP 48.57 per kilogram in the first phase of September 2023. Similarly, an increment of 1.5 percent was recorded in the average retail price per kilogram of banana latundan in the second phase of September 2023 from its average retail price of PhP 48.42 per kilogram during the second phase of August 2023.    By region, Region III (Central Luzon) registered the highest average retail price of a kilogram of banana latundan at PhP 71.06, while the lowest average retail price was reported in BARMM at PhP 33.50 per kilogram during the second phase of September 2023. (Table 6)

7. Cooking Oil

   

   At the national level, cooking oil had an average retail price of PhP 160.86 per liter during the second phase of September 2023. This was 0.1 percent lower than the average retail price of PhP 161.04 per liter in the first phase of September 2023. Moreover, a decline of 1.5 percent was observed in the average retail price per liter of cooking oil during the second phase of September 2023 relative to its average retail price of PhP 163.39 per liter during the second phase of August 2023.    At the regional level, the highest average retail price of cooking oil was noted in Region VIII (Eastern Visayas) at PhP 213.44 per liter during the second phase of September 2023, while the lowest average retail price was observed in Region II (Cagayan Valley) at PhP 112.44 per liter.
