Bukidnon has the Highest Value of Production in Agriculture and Fisheries Making Mindanao as the Second Highest Producing Island Group in 2023

At current prices, the total value of production in agriculture and fisheries was estimated at PhP 2.31 trillion in 2023. Among the provinces, Bukidnon registered the highest value of production in agriculture and fisheries, which amounted to PhP 155.28 billion in 2023. It was followed by Pampanga and Pangasinan with PhP 93.73 billion and PhP 88.30 billion, respectively. (Figure 1 and Table 1.1)

In 2023, total crop production was valued at PhP 1.23 trillion at current prices. Bukidnon topped in the value of crop production generating PhP 104.52 billion at current prices. Isabela and Nueva Ecija ranked second and third with corresponding values of production of PhP 59.50 billion and PhP 59.06 billion. (Table 1.2)

For livestock, the total value of production at current prices amounted to PhP 0.38 trillion in 2023. Bukidnon had the highest value of livestock production with PhP 30.43 billion. This was followed by Batangas with PhP 30.33 billion, and Cebu with PhP 26.68 billion. (Table 1.3)

The total value of poultry production at current prices was PhP 0.36 trillion in 2023. The leading province in terms of value of poultry production was Batangas which was estimated at PhP 33.84 billion. Came next were the provinces of Bulacan with PhP 26.07 billion and Pampanga with PhP 25.33 billion. (Table 1.4)

The total value of fisheries production at current prices was recorded at PhP 0.33 trillion in 2023. Across provinces, the value of production was biggest in the province of Pampanga amounting to PhP 41.84 billion. Pangasinan and South Cotabato followed with PhP 22.68 billion and PhP 22.46 billion, respectively. (Table 1.5)
