The Information Services Group (ISG), a leading global technology research and advisory firm based in Connecticut, USA, announced the winners for the 2020 ISG Paragon Awards™ for Asia and Pacific (APAC). The ISG Paragon Awards™ gives recognition to the achievements of industry leaders across the globe. Unisys together with the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) won in the category “Impact: Recognizing the impact of a client/service provider(s) relationship on a community.”

Last February 2020, ISG posted on their website the nominees for the seven categories of this year’s event, which are as follows: Excellence, Imagination, Impact, Transformation, Leadership, Woman in Technology, and Collaboration. A total of 59 nominations were submitted by 24 solution or services providers situated in APAC.

With this recognition, PSA truly upholds the virtue of the Ministerial Declaration of Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) in APAC, “Get Every One in the Picture.” The Ministerial Declaration aims that by 2024, through the accelerated and focused improvement in APAC, people will benefit from the universal and responsive civil registration and vital statistics systems that facilitate the realization of people’s rights in achieving inclusive, equitable, and people-centered developments.

With the close collaboration of PSA and Unisys toward achieving the goals of Civil Registry System Modernization, the end-to-end process of authenticating and securing the issuance of civil registry documents increase the accessibility and speed of service for the citizens. Digitization in the services offered for the issuance of civil registry documents are in PSA’s pipeline activities to provide more efficient services that are closer to the people.

Moreover, the PSA intends to bolster its customer service by opening 15 new Serbilis Outlets nationwide within 2020 (read here for more info: /content/psa-and-pasig-city-collaborate-improve-pasig-serbilis-outlet). This is on top of its enhancements to the “look and feel” branding of its existing 40 outlets.
