As part of its continuous efforts to bring the National ID services closer to Filipinos, especially the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) brought National ID services in a Family Development Session (FDS) in Isabela, Negros Occidental.

The initiative is part of the PSA's partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). It allows PSA to provide authentication and National ID registration to 4Ps beneficiaries at the FDS, which is required for Pantawid families to learn more about positive family values and strengthened marital relationships, parental roles, and responsibilities.

The success of the National ID would not be possible without the steadfast support of the LGUs. We are grateful to our local chief executives who have supported the National ID and to whom we share the goal of making delivery and access to services easier for every Filipino—the Makabagong Pilipinas that we all envision,” Usec. Mapa said.

More than 1,000 residents were able to avail of various National ID services during the activity, 720 of which were 4Ps beneficiaries who were successfully authenticated.

A total of 267 residents were also registered to the National ID system during the FDS and 29 individuals were assisted in generating their Digital National IDs.

Recently launched by the PSA and Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), the Digital National ID is a valid proof of identification that can be accessed through smartphones and computers via https://national-id.gov.ph.

We hope that in these efforts, our kababayans will understand the significance and advantages of registering for the National ID. This will provide them with a reliable means of identification, empowering them to access essential services and carry out other transactions easily,” Usec. Mapa added.
