The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) encourages parents and guardians to register children aged 1 to 4 years to the National ID system as it continues to open various registration venues to make registration easier and accessible for minors.

"The benefits that the National ID brings to adults are equally applicable to children, who also have the right to a valid proof of identity," said PSA Undersecretary Claire Dennis S. Mapa, PhD, National Statistician and Civil Registrar General. "The PSA calls for parents and guardians to accompany their children to any registration center near them, and take the initiative in registering them to the National ID system."
