The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Pilipinas Teleserv Inc. for the expansion of its online services on civil registration for the public in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The MOA was signed by the National Statistician and Civil Registrar General, Usec. Dennis S. Mapa, Ph.D, Officer-in-Charge Deputy National Statistician Atty. Maqtahar Manulon of the Civil Registration and Central Support Office, and Mr. Jun Yupitun, Managing Director of Pilipinas Teleserv in Quezon City on
Through the online platform PSAHelpline.ph, Filipinos may request, pay, and have their PSA-issued documents and certifications delivered at their doorstep. Launched on 16 December 2020, the online services cover the copy issuance of the Certificate of Live Birth (COLB), Certificate of Marriage (COM), Certificate of Death (COD) and Certificate of No Marriage Record (CENOMAR).
“This renewed partnership with Pilipinas Teleserv marks the PSA’s strong commitment in making our civil registration services more efficient and accessible through online transactions and digital payment systems. This online facility is ultimately for the convenience and safety of our clients given the pandemic,” said Undersecretary Dennis S. Mapa, National Statistician and Civil Registrar General.
In compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012, Teleserv pledged to strengthen security measures and data privacy mechanisms for the online platform for the protection of its users.
