The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) announces the release of the Provincial Product Accounts (PPA) results for 82 provinces and 17 highly urbanized cities (HUCs) across the 16 PPA pilot regions in the country through a series of provincial dissemination fora.

The Macroeconomic Accounts Service under the Sectoral Statistics Office, and in cooperation with the concerned Regional Statistical Services Offices and Provincial Statistical Offices will conduct the provincial dissemination fora from 28 November to 15 December 2023.

The PPA initiative enables the compilation of Gross Domestic Product of the provinces and HUCs that provide a suitable measure of economic performance at the subregional level. This will provide our stakeholders in the government and private institutions as well as those in the academe with sound indicators for evidence-based policies at the local level. The PPA was compiled consistently with the internationally agreed framework on the System of National Accounts. By 2025, the PSA envisions institutionalizing the PPA in all provinces and HUCs of all 17 regions in the country.
