Knowledge Exchange Series Special Seminar in June 2024

21 June 2024 – QUEZON CITY. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) recently conducted its second seminar on Data Enclave Centers (DEC) under the Knowledge Exchange Series (KES). This session highlighted the significant role of DECs in improving data security and accessibility. The PSA continues to emphasize the practical advantages of DECs, aiming to enhance stakeholders' understanding of its benefits in effective data management.

Over 200 participants, including PSA officials, personnel, and external stakeholders, attended the recent hybrid seminar. Held at the Media Center in the PSA Headquarters and accessible via video conferencing, the event brought together a diverse group of attendees to engage and collaborate.

The KES has designated May, June, and July 2024 as a significant period for advancing the PSA DECs, this month, it featured the research entitled "Productivity Growth and Technology Diffusion" by Ms. Francesca De Nicola of International Finance Corporation and Mr. Jonathan Timmis of World Bank. The KES special seminars highlight the experiences of individuals and groups who have benefited from the services of the PSA DECs, exploring various research topics. They also create a space for meaningful dialogue about the DECs' effectiveness, their impact on the community, and potential avenues for enhancement. Through these seminars, we aim to elevate and optimize the use of establishment-based data available in the DECs at the Regional Statistical Services Offices, guiding us toward a future of shared growth and enlightenment.

The KES is an initiative aligned with the PSA's commitment to fostering an institution that encourages continuous learning, strategic collaborations, and impactful innovations.
