The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) joins this year’s celebration of the National Women’s Month with the theme “WE for gender equality and inclusive society”, as part of the Authority’s advocacy and support to the Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028.

Proclamation No. 227, series of 1988, provides for the observance of the month of March as “Women’s Role in History Month” which aims to highlight the critical economic, cultural, political, and social role of women in every sphere of our nation’s life by constituting a significant portion of the labor force working in and outside of the home.

As part of this celebration, the PSA, through the Civil Registration Service, shall provide the first 100 transacting women clients a copy of their own Birth or Marriage Certificate FREE OF CHARGE every Monday during the month of March at selected Civil Registry System Outlet in Metro Manila.

The presentation of valid identity card shall remain a requirement pursuant to Office Memorandum No. 2019-16A dated 09 September 2021 re: Strict Implementation of the Presentation of Valid Identification (ID) Cards/Identity Documents in the Issuance of Civil Registry Documents/Certifications.
