The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) strongly warns the public against online scams spreading in social media sites promising PhP 5,000 cash assistance for National ID holders.

The PSA emphasizes that the said social media posts are not from the agency. We urge the public to be vigilant and not fall for these scams.

While the National ID is used as a valid proof of identity in various transactions, including applying for government benefits, such benefits are granted based on the rules and regulations of the concerned agency.
