The PSA reiterates that it does not distribute any cash assistance to registered persons or holders of the National ID whether in card, paper, or digital format.
Further, only the PSA is authorized to register individuals to the National ID system, free of any charge. It involves capturing biometric information such as iris and fingerprint scanning, which requires personal appearance before an authorized registration personnel from the PSA and cannot be done online.
In addition, individuals or groups offering such activities are not authorized by or related to PSA.
We urge the public to be cautious and to refrain from sharing false information about the National ID being posted on various social media sites.
For accurate and reliable information on the National ID, the public can refer to any of the following official channels: (1) National ID website via https://philsys.gov.ph/; (2) Facebook at PSAPhilSysOfficial; (3) X (formerly Twitter) at @PSAPhilSys; and (4) Viber at PSA: Philippine Identification System.
