The PSA would like to underscore that the text scam IS NOT from the agency. We also reiterate that the National ID has lifetime validity and therefore, has no expiration.

Additionally, the updating services for the National ID can only be done via registration centers nationwide, and not online or via SMS.

We urge the public to refrain from replying to and clicking any links from such messages.

For more reliable and accurate information, visit any of the official channels of the National ID system: (1) Facebook at facebook.com/PSAPhilSysOfficial; (2) X (formerly Twitter) via @OfficialPhilSys; (3) Viber Community at PSA: Philippine Identification System.
