PRODUCTION

In the first quarter of 2025, the seasonally adjusted corn production was estimated at 2.00 million metric tons. This indicates a decrease of 2.5 percent compared with the previous quarter’s estimate of 2.05 million metric tons. (Figure 1 and Table 1)

PRICE

The January to March 2025 seasonally adjusted farmgate price of corn was recorded at PhP 14.31 per kilogram. This represents an increase of 2.8 percent from the PhP 13.92 per kilogram farmgate price recorded in October to December 2024. (Figure 2 and Table 2)
