Value of Agriculture and Fisheries Production
In the second quarter of 2024, the seasonally adjusted value of production in agriculture and fisheries posted a quarter-on-quarter decline of 2.3 percent. This was due to the decreases in the value of crops and fisheries production. (Table 2.1)

Value of Crop Production
The seasonally adjusted value of crop production posted a quarter-on-quarter contraction of 4.8 percent. The top contributors to the decline were palay, corn, and sugarcane. (Table 2.1)

Value of Livestock Production
For livestock, the seasonally adjusted value of production recorded a quarter-on-quarter growth of 1.5 percent. Hog was the only contributor to the quarter-on-quarter growth in the value of production during the second quarter of 2024. (Table 2.1)

Value of Poultry Production
The second quarter of 2024 seasonally adjusted value of poultry production registered a quarter-on-quarter growth of 2.0 percent. The value of chicken production was the major contributor to the quarter-on-quarter growth. (Table 2.1)

Value of Fisheries Production
The deseasonalized value of fisheries production posted a quarter-on-quarter reduction of 1.0 percent in the second quarter of 2024. The primary contributors to the quarter-on-quarter decline were tigerprawn (sugpo), seaweed, and tilapia. (Table 2.1)
