As of 01 July 2019, the total inventory of duck was estimated at 11.83 million birds. This represents an increase of 1.0 percent compared with the previous year’s duck population of 11.71 million birds.
Among all ages, laying flock contributed the most in terms of inventory, with 51.3 percent share to the country’s total duck population. Growing flock, day-old duckling and male breeder shared 35.5 percent, 9.5 percent and 3.6 percent, respectively, to the total. (Table 2)
