Duck Situation Report, July-September 2020

July 2020 to September 2020


The total duck production from July to September 2020 was estimated at 7.69 thousand metric tons, liveweight. This was 2.3 percent higher than the previous year’s same quarter output of 7.52 thousand metric tons, liveweight.

Among the regions, Central Luzon was the top producer of duck for meat during the quarter with 3.19 thousand metric tons, liveweight. This was followed by SOCCSKSARGEN and Western Visayas with corresponding productions of 0.83 thousand metric tons, liveweight, and 0.80 thousand metric tons, liveweight. These regions accounted for 62.8 percent of the country’s total duck production.

Compared with their levels in the same period in 2019, six regions exhibited increments in production during the quarter. Central Luzon posted the highest annual growth of 13.0 percent, from 2.83 thousand metric tons, liveweight, in the same period of 2019 to 3.19 thousand metric tons, liveweight, this quarter.
