Q3 2018 GDP growth revised down to 6.0 percent

The third quarter 2018 Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth was revised down to 6.0 percent from 6.1 percent. This was due to the downward revisions in Manufacturing; Trade and Repair of Motor Vehicles, Motorcycles, Personal and Household Goods; and Financial Intermediation.

Relatedly, Net Primary Income (NPI) from the Rest of the World (ROW) was revised downward to 4.8 percent from 5.6 percent resulting in the revision of Gross National Income (GNI) to 5.8 percent from 6.0 percent.

The PSA revises the GDP estimates based on the approved revision policy (PSA Board Resolution No. 1, Series of 2017-053) which is consistent with international standard practices on national accounts revisions.
