Financial Intermediation slows down
Financial Intermediation continued to expand in the third quarter of 2018 with the 7.6 percent growth. This was slower than the 8.9 percent recorded in the same quarter of the previous year. Of all the subsectors, Banks saw the biggest increase at 8.3 percent year-on-year, followed by Non-Banking Financial Institutions at 8.2 percent. Meanwhile, Activities Auxiliary to Financial Intermediation increased by 6.8 percent, and Insurance posted a 5.1 percent growth.
