15th National Convention on Statistics

I. Objective 

The 15th NCS will carry the theme “Boosting the Country’s Recovery with Informed Decisions, Better Policies.” The theme emphasizes the critical role of statistics in crafting the most appropriate decisions and policies that are needed to boost efforts for recovery. As the country’s recovery continues to take off, public and private sectors both play important roles by providing and producing the right data, actively participating in economic activities, and making informed decisions out of relevant available information.

This year, the 15th NCS will coincide with the opening of the 33rd National Statistics Month (NSM) celebration in October 2022. The 15^th NCS will feature plenary sessions, invited/contributed paper sessions, panel discussions, statistics training, as well as the Statistical Information Management Exhibition (SIMEx).

III. Convention Kits, Materials and Certificates 

• The participants will be provided with Convention Kits containing the ID (in lace with flash drive), 15th NCS Souvenir Program and 15th NCS Abstracts. Copies of the final manuscripts will be uploaded on the PSA website by 07 October 2022.

• Certificate of Attendance will be issued electronically after the NCS upon submission of accomplished evaluation form.  Printed copy may also be provided upon request.

IV. Dress Code  

Recommended dress code for the Convention is “Business Attire.”

VI. Registration fees and Payment Options

Method of Payment

Option 1

Payments can be made in cash, in agency/company check (payable to the Philippine Statistics Authority) or, via online bank transfer payable to the 15th NCS Trust Account.

No personal check and/or postdated check will be accepted;

Before issuance of Official Receipt (OR), proof of payment, in the form of validated deposit slip, should be presented to the PSA Cashier (Central Office) at the 11/F Eton Centris Cyberpod One, EDSA corner Quezon Ave, Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines, or may be sent via email at 15thNCS@gmail.com;

Participants may pick-up their ORs at the PSA Cashier (Central Office) or during the Convention proper;

Option 2

Participants may pay in cash or agency/company check directly at the PSA Cashier (Central Office), prior to the Convention; or

Option 3

Participants may pay in cash or agency/company check onsite during the Convention.

VIII. Health and Safety Protocols 

• For fully vaccinated guests, COVID-19 vaccination card must be shown upon entering the hotel. Otherwise, negative result of RT-PCR test done within 48 hours or Antigen test done on the same day is required upon entry in the hotel.

• Face mask must be worn properly at all times.
