Rubber
- For the period January-March 2017, the production of rubber grew by 17.9 percent, from 38.49 thousand metric tons in 2016 to 45.36 thousand metric tons this year. The growth in production resulted from:
- more tapping activities prompted by good buying price of cuplump in SOCCSKSARGEN (North Cotabato) and Caraga (Agusan del Sur).
- more tapping activities prompted by good buying price of cuplump in SOCCSKSARGEN (North Cotabato) and Caraga (Agusan del Sur).
- The top-producing region during the period is SOCCSKSARGEN, with its production of 20.27 thousand metric tons accounting for 44.7 percent of the total rubber production of the country. Zamboanga came in next with a contribution of 37.3 percent and ARMM with 6.9 percent share to the national production.
