Republic Act (RA) No. 10625 or the Philippine Statistical Act of 2013 mandates the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) to prepare, in consultation with the PSA Board, a Philippine Statistical Development Program (PSDP).

Section 24 of RA 10625 states that the PSDP shall consist of all statistical activities to be undertaken by the Philippine Statistical System (PSS) in response to the requirements of development planning and policy formulation.
