The RSC is the regional counterpart of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Board. The RSC is established to:

• improve statistical planning, programming, and coordination at the subnational level 

• ensure effective organization within the Regional Statistical System (RSS)

• strengthen the local data ecosystem
