2022 1st Round of Updates in the Achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) An Input to the Philippines’ 2022 Voluntary National Review (VNR)

As the official repository of the Philippine SDG Indicators and in response to the country’s commitment to monitor the achievement of SDGs, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) announces the release of the first round SDG Updates as of April 2022 through the SDG Watch. This can be accessed and downloaded from The updates were made possible through the data provision of the following source agencies:

  1. Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas;
  2. Commission on Higher Education;
  3. Department of Agrarian Reform;
  4. Department of Budget Management;
  5. Department of Education;
  6. Department of Energy;
  7. Department of Environment and Natural Resources;
  8. Department of Health;
  9. Department of Information and Communication Technology;
  10. Department of Social Welfare and Development;
  11. Department of Transportation;
  12. Food and Nutrition Research Institute
  13. Local Water Utilities Administration;
  14. National Economic Development Authority;
  15. Office of Civil Defense;
  16. Office of the Ombudsman;
  17. Philippine Commission on Women;
  18. Philippine National Police;
  19. Philippine Statistics Authority; and
  20. Technical Education and Skills Development Authority

The first round of updating of the 2022 SDG Watch will be used as inputs in crafting the Philippines’ 2022 VNR to be reported in the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) in July 2022. The VNR is a country-led initiative, which aims to share best practices, challenges and lessons learned in the implementation and monitoring of the achievement of the SDGs. This year, the highlights of the Philippine report will focus on the following goals: Goal 4: Quality Education; Goal 5: Gender Equality, Goal 14: Life Below Water, Goal 15: Life on Land, and Goal 17: Partnership for the Goals.

These updates in the SDG Watch, as well as the updated data for sub-national and other disaggregation, will also be reflected in the PSA SDG Database at
