RICE STOCK

• The total rice stock position as of June 1 this year amounted to 1.786 million MT, 338 thousand MT below the May 1 level and 481.4 thousand MT below that of same month last year.
• Household stock dropped dramatically by 286.9 thousand MT or 25.3 percent from last month level as households sold their produce for school expenses.
• Compared to last year, Commercial and NFA stock levels both went down significantly with the latter having recorded a drop of 39.3 percent or 305.5 thousand MT.
• The June 1 rice stock position is good for 73-day supply.

CORN STOCK

• Total corn stock as of June 1 amounted to 171.3 thousand metric tons, 68 thousand MT or 28.5  percent  below  last  month  stock level  but 17.5 percent higher than same month last year.
• Household stock posted a 40 thousand MT or 41 percent drawdown from last month's corn stock level; Commercial stock went down by 27.7 thousand MT (19.7%).
• NFA still has no stock reported for the period.
