Rice and Corn Stocks Inventory, April 2025
RICE
As of 01 October 2024, the country's total rice stocks inventory was estimated at 2.15 million metric tons. This indicates an annual increase of 5.4 percent from the 2.04 million metric tons inventory in the same period of the previous year.
Month-on-month, the volume of rice stocks inventory recorded an increment of 29.8 percent from the previous month's inventory of 1.66 million metric tons. (Figure 1 and Table 1)

This month's rice stocks inventories registered annual increases from the NFA depositories by 290.2 percent and from the commercial sector by 4.7 percent. On the other hand, an annual decrease was noted from the household sector by 7.5 percent.
In comparison to the September 2024 rice stocks levels, increments were noted from the households by 85.5 percent, from the NFA depositories by 14.2 percent, and from the commercial sector by 7.8 percent.
Of this month's total rice stocks, 52.6 percent were from the commercial sector, 39.4 percent were from the households, and 8.0 percent were from the NFA depositories. (Table 1)

CORN
As of 01 October 2024, the total corn stocks inventory of the country reached 728.23 thousand metric tons. This indicates an annual decrease of 25.3 percent from the 974.80 thousand metric tons inventory in the same period of 2023.
Corn stocks inventory exhibited a month-on-month increase of 16.5 percent relative to its previous month's inventory level of 625.12 thousand metric tons. (Figure 2 and Table 2)

From the same month of the previous year's level, corn stocks inventory from the commercial sector recorded an annual decrease of 31.1 percent. On the other hand, an annual increase of 13.7 percent was noted from the households.
Relative to the inventory level in September 2024, the volume of corn stocks from the households registered a month-on-month increase of 331.1 percent. Meanwhile, the corn stocks inventory from the commercial sector decreased by 1.1 percent.
About 80.4 percent of this month's total corn stocks inventory were from the commercial sector, while the remaining 19.6 percent were from the households. (Table 2)
